Protect your pet at Council’s Discount Microchipping Day

Gladstone Regional Council will host a Discount Microchipping Day on Thursday, 2 October at the Gladstone Pound Facility in Callemondah.
Council will offer a discounted price for microchipping of $20 per animal (cat or dog) payable at the time of booking.
Appointments are in 15-minute blocks from 9am with the last booking slot available at 5.45pm.
Bookings and prepayment are essential prior to attending your appointment and the payment is non-refundable.
Gladstone Region Councillor Leanne Patrick said microchipping is an essential part of responsible animal ownership.
“A microchip provides a simple solution to assist in the return of your pet if it goes missing, while getting your animal desexed and microchipped can reduce your pet’s annual registration fees by up to $80 per year,” Councillor Patrick said.
“Council authorised microchip implanters will administer the microchip implant so you can rest easy knowing your pet is in safe hands.”
