Breakfast of Champions
Let's celebrate!
We want to celebrate and thank our volunteers for what they do every day.
Join us for a “Breakfast of Champions” recognition event! Council is hosting three breakfasts in various locations across the region.
If you are a Volunteer and would like to celebrate alongside others, RSVP and register your attendance at one of the “Breakfast of Champions” recognition events by completing the online form.
Limited capacity for each event, register early to avoid missing out!
Registrations close at COB Monday, 12 May 2025, or sooner if capacity is filled.
Breakfast of Champions events:
- 8am - 10am, Monday 19 May, Gladstone Bowls Club, 6A Ferris Street, Gladstone
- 8am – 10am, Wednesday 21 May, Tannum Sands Hotel, 34 Pacific Avenue, Tannum Sands
- 8am – 10am, Friday 23 May, Drift and Wood Sandcastles, 40 Captain Cook Dr, Agnes Water.
If you cannot attend one of the “Breakfast of Champions” recognition events, we would still like to acknowledge your incredible volunteering efforts. Please complete the Volunteer Recognition Certificate Request online form by COB Monday 12 May 2025.

Join our Gladstone Region Volunteers Bridging Program.
Gain the knowledge and skills you need to get started in the world of volunteering.
Attend a session and learn about:
- What volunteering is and what it means to be a volunteer
- The many opportunities available in your community
- The benefits of volunteering for both you and the community
- The rights and responsibilities of volunteers and organisations
- How to choose the right volunteer role for you.
Spots are limited, secure your place and take the first step towards making a positive impact!
Program Dates:
- 10am - 12pm, Friday, 23 May | Carer and living with a disability, volunteering.
- 9am - 11am, Monday, 26 May | Senior volunteering.
- 9am - 11am, Tuesday, 27 May | Culturally and linguistically diverse volunteering.
- 12.30pm - 2.30pm, Tuesday, 27 May | Essential services volunteering.
- 2pm - 4pm, Thursday, 29 May | Remote/rural volunteering.
