Boil Water Notice in place for Bororen

Residents and visitors to Bororen are advised that a Boil Water Alert is in place following an unplanned water outage.

People should use cooled boiled water or bottled water for:

Drinking
Brushing teeth
Preparing and cooking foods
Washing raw foods such as fruit and vegetables
Drinks and making ice
Making baby formula
Bathing babies

Unboiled drinking water can be used for:

Showering and bathing other than babies and small children (avoid getting water in the mouth)
Washing dishes by hand or in a dishwasher
Washing clothes
Flushing toilets

Bottled water is available at the Bororen Hotel for affected residents.

Council employees will also deliver bottled water to individual households both today and tomorrow.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank residents for their patience while our crews work to restore services as quickly as possible.
