Birdie’s Tree is recognised as the world-leading suite of resources and programs to support mental health and social emotional wellbeing of babies and young children, their families and communities, through natural disasters (such as floods and fires) and disruptive events.
Birdie’s Tree includes an award-winning set of storybooks, videos and resources created by the Queensland Centre for Perinatal and Infant Mental Health (QCPIMH).
Birdie’s Tree is useful in the preparedness, response and recovery phases of a natural disaster or disruptive event. In schools, Birdie’s Tree resources are designed for students in Prep to Year 3, although older students also benefit.
