The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service will be conducting pest activity control activities throughout Kroombit Tops National Park (KTNP), commencing 22nd April 2025, extending through to the 16th of May 2025.
QPWS will then be deploying 1080 baits across Kroombit Tops National Park as part of an ongoing Pest management program. - Commencing

The pest activities to be carried out across KTNP is to reduce the degradation on habitat and maximise the chances of long-term recovery of populations of identified threatened species endemic to the area and associated vegetation groups. This includes the Kroombit Tops Tinkerfrog, Kroombit Tops Tree Frog, Silver headed Antechinus and Monteiths spiny crayfish.
The control activities include a focus on public safety and visitor experience within KTNP.

Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.
The park will reopen when conditions are considered safe.
