- Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) will be conducting a planned burns (weather permitting) from 5th May 2025 to 30th June 2025, as part of the fire management program for Kroombit Tops National Park.

Firefighters and machinery may be working along roadsides in the vicinity of Tableland Rd and the Razorback Track. For your safety and the safety of firefighters, please slow down and observe all directions and signs.
Please note: Kroombit Tops National Park is currently fully closed until the 17th May 2025 due to pest control activities, which may be running concurrently with the plan burn program.
During the planned burns, these areas may be temporarily closed to public access outside of the current full park closure:
- Tableland Road
- Razorback Track
Smoke may be seen in the vicinity of Tableland Road & The Razorback Track. Persons with respiratory or other health problems should seek medical advice on mitigating the effects of smoke inhalation.
Refunds can be applied for via your online account at qld.gov.au/camping.
Please monitor park alerts on the department's website for updated information.
Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.
Facilities will reopen when conditions are considered safe.
