Early Tender Notification for Boyne Tannum Aquatic Centre

Gladstone Regional Council is providing an early tender notification for Boyne Tannum Aquatic Centre (BTAC), prior to a formal tender process expected to open later this month.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said Council understands the community is eager to see construction on the Lot 5 Arthur Street site commence and are very close to inviting formal tenders.
“Council remains committed to the project and see it as an investment in the health and wellbeing of the local community – one that will serve the Gladstone Region for generations to come,” Mayor Burnett said.
The project is supported by a $15M Australian Government funding agreement through the Priority Community Infrastructure Program, and Council continues to actively seek additional funding.
It is a requirement of this project that the builder contracted to undertake the Building Work be accredited under the Work Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme, established under the Federal Safety Commissioner Act 2022.
Regarding the project’s original site at Lot 900 Coronation Drive, Council is continuing to partner with the region’s Traditional Owners to develop and deliver the right cultural and land management plan for the site.
