Councillor Chris Trevor on leave of absence from civic duties
Gladstone Region Councillor Chris Trevor has taken a leave of absence from civic duties until 31 October 2022 due to health reasons.
On 8 August 2022, Cr Trevor suffered a near-fatal heart attack and is currently recovering at home in Gladstone.
“Chris will be undergoing further rehabilitation and specialist advice, and, on his behalf, he has requested me to thank everyone for their concern and well wishes,” Mayor Matt Burnett said.
“He will provide an update on his position after further medical advice is received and is hopeful of returning to Council on Tuesday 1 November.
“On behalf of my fellow Councillors, Council staff, and the Gladstone Region community, I’d like to wish Chris a speedy and successful recovery.”
