Final weeks to enter Intercity Images 2020 competition
Gladstone Region photographers have just over three weeks remaining until entries close in the Intercity Images 2020: Gladstone Saiki Photographic Exchange competition.
Intercity Images is the annual photographic exchange between residents living in the Gladstone Region and Saiki City, Japan.
Entries to the competition will close at 5pm on Saturday, 22 February and will go on display at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum from 7 March until 25 April.
Gladstone Region Councillor Desley O’Grady said 30 entries will be selected from the display.
“Selected entries will be shown alongside the works of Saiki City photographers in our Japanese Sister City during June and July,” Cr O’Grady said.
“Following the Japan trip, the combined Saiki and Gladstone photographs will travel back to Gladstone to be displayed at the Gallery & Museum from 1 August until 3 October.
“We’re looking for photographers in the Gladstone Region who are able to capture the spirit of Central Queensland's lifestyle, its people and environment.”
The Sister City relationship between Gladstone and Saiki City was established on 4 September 1996.
