Learn Council’s procurement process ahead of upcoming tender window

Council is hosting trade supplier events to engage with local businesses and prepare for the new Trade Services Register of Pre-qualified Suppliers (RPQS) tender releasing in August 2025.
The new Trade Services tender includes categories such as electrical, plumbing and gas fitting, carpentry and building, welding and metal fabrication, concreting and general maintenance.
Events will be held in Agnes Water on Wednesday, 6 August and in Gladstone on Thursday, 7 August.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said the events will explain how to engage with Council through the upcoming trade services tender, including how to submit a conforming tender.
“These events are designed to improve understanding of Council’s procurement processes and encourage greater local participation in contract opportunities,” Mayor Burnett said.
“Key topics will be discussed, and attendees will have a chance to ask questions and learn more.
“Businesses and suppliers interested in attending one or both events are encouraged to register their attendance in advance by completing the form available on Council’s website.”
Potential works under the tender include urgent repairs, smaller jobs up to $10,000 (ex GST) and medium-sized projects between $10,000 and $250,000 (ex GST).
