Ecofest

Date: 1 June 2025

Location: Tondoon Botanic Gardens 672 Glenlyon Road, Gladstone Q 4680

Central Queensland’s largest environmental awareness event, Ecofest, returns for 2025.  9am-3pm Sun 1 June 2025

Ecofest will be held from 9am-3pm on Sunday 1 June and will also feature plant sales, food trucks, live music, market stalls, creative family friendly workshops, guest speakers and more. 

Join leading sustainability experts, community organisations, foodies, green-thumbs, conservationists and planet-lovers for a day of sharing eco-tastic lifestyle practices that will leave you feeling inspired to make a greener change! 

You’re invited to play your part in protecting the amazing natural assets that the Gladstone Region has to offer and this festival will help make eco-champions of us all! 

Event details

When: 9am - 3pm, Sunday 1 June 2025
Where: Gladstone Tondoon Botanic Gardens, 672 Glenlyon Road, Gladstone Qld 4680
Cost: Free Entry

Small steps make a big difference - reduce, reuse, recycle, and inspire others to do the same 
 
Remember to bring your own water bottles, reusable coffee cups and shopping bags on the day! 

In 2025, We’re walking the talk and ensuring the Ecofest event itself is as low impact on the environment as possible! 

Every business, group or individual who is a part of Ecofest has committed towards a sustainable future and will demonstrate how they are mindful of their environmental footprint.

This means Ecofest is a reusable, biodegradable or compostable product event – no single use plastics allowed!

Eco Curiosity: Ask the Experts – A Live Q&A Session  

Eco Curiosity is a 45-minute Q&A session live at Ecofest, where the region’s top industries and environmental experts share their insights on sustainability.

Don’t miss this engaging discussion on how our community is evolving to meet environmental challenges. 

The Conscious Closet | Pre-Loved Clothing Sale 

Visit The Conscious Closet stall for a curated collection of pre loved clothing that reduces the impact of fast fashion. By shopping with us, you're choosing to limit waste, support sustainable fashion, and lower your green footprint—all while finding unique, stylish pieces! 

Conscious Closet is our repurposed fashion market stall where pre-loved threads get a second chance to shine. We're calling on the community to get involved, embrace sustainable style, and be part of the solution to textile waste. Whether you're selling or shopping, its fashion with purpose - because looking good shouldn't cost the earth.  

Stallholders must apply via the online form.

Parking is available in the industry carpark, people coming from Kirkwood Road & Glen Eden are recommended to park here.

Parking is also available at the Meteors Soccer Fields for people coming from Gladstone.

Buses will be running from various locations throughout the day free of charge.
