We have celebrated nature since the beginning of time, but before the invention of the camera, nature enthusiasts had to document what they observed very differently.

‘Nature Photography Day’ held annually on June 15 allows you to learn more about nature and enjoy capturing it, whether you’re a professional photographer or you’ve never captured nature before, we would love to see your nature snaps. 

The top 10 entries will be exhibited at the Rotary Family Markets at Tondoon Botanic Gardens on Sunday 15 June 2025, 7am – 12pm, for the public to vote for the winner of the ‘People’s Choice Award. ’ 

“Artful Eye Award”, “People’s Choice Award” and the 9 other finalist images will be displayed in the Tondoon Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre until 31 July 2025. 

• Photos must be taken within the Tondoon Botanic Gardens in the month of May 2025 (01/05/2025-31/05/2025)
• The photographer must reside in the Gladstone Regional Council local government area.
• Photographs must be submitted digitally and as close to standard dimensions (15cm x 10cm) as possible. Panorama photographs are not permitted.
