Regional Libraries: School Holiday Program

These holidays beat the boredom and explore, create and play at our Regional Libraries. Free events - Bookings required.

Activities at our Libraries

* Bookings for Libraries Events open 2 weeks before each event and close 4pm the day before the event date.

 

Family Movie @ Agnes Water Library - Wonka (PG) 

Join us for a movie and a relaxing Saturday chill in the library. BYO water bottle, snacks and pillow or beanbag.

Looking for something to get the creative juices flowing? Join us once again these school holidays for our ever-popular hands-on Craft Buffett. With a range of customisable crafts and colouring in available, there’s something here for all ages to get their craft on.

Creating Easter baskets is a fun, crafty activity for kids! Using simple materials like paper, ribbon, and decorative items, kids can design their own personalized baskets for Easter eggs. This hands-on project encourages creativity, fine motor skills, and a sense of accomplishment as children craft their festive, unique baskets! 

Age 4-12.  Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Sewing workshop - scrap soft toys @ Gladstone Library  

Use sewing machines to make custom soft toys from fabric scraps and stuffing. This is a two day program starting on Friday afternoon and continuing on Monday morning, giving you plenty of time to complete your creation and bring your charter to life. Materials will be provided but you are welcome to bring along your own materials to make your toy extra special.

Seashell Creatures @ Calliope Library  

Dive into creativity at Calliope Library with our Seashell Creature Craft! Kids will have a blast transforming ordinary seashells into imaginative creatures. Using paint, googly eyes, and other fun materials, participants will design unique critters that showcase their artistic flair. This hands-on program encourages creativity and storytelling, perfect for young ocean lovers. Bring your friends and discover the magic of crafting with seashells! Don’t miss out on this chance to create your very own seashell friends and take them home!  

Age 4-12.  Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Easter Cards @ Calliope Library 

Making Easter cards is a fun craft for kids, allowing them to express creativity while celebrating the holiday. Using colourful markers, stickers, stamps, and cut-out shapes, kids can design personalized cards for family and friends. It’s a great way to practice fine motor skills while spreading Easter cheer!
