Author Visit - Deano Yipadee

Best-selling Author, Musician and Performer Deano Yipadee, aka ‘Nee Naw Man’, will have your child in stitches as they read, sing, laugh and bounce along with his collection of chart-topping Scholastic books and songs. Join Nee Naw the Little Fire Engine, Stink-o-saurus, Granny’s Undies, and the brand-new book, Moto Mike the Motorbike, as Deano takes you on a hilarious comedy live-music adventure!

Create your own copper artwork to hang on your wall. Copper plate etching is an easy and traditional form of printmaking that creates spectacular artwork.

Dungeons & Dragons & Bears Oh My! @ Boyne Island Library

Join us this school holidays for a madcap D&D styled adventure. Using some modified homebrew rules, come and see if the team can fight the good fight, save the princess... or just burn everything to the ground. Imagination is the only limit in this D6 based dungeon crawl where anything can happen based on the adventure you choose.

  • 3pm-4.30pm, Tuesday 1 July 2025

Ages 12+. To simplify the game and allow a larger group D6 rolls will replace all normal checks. Characters will be created on the day.

What’s more fun than playing with playdough? NAIDOC Week: Storytelling Through Art and Music

Celebrate NAIDOC Week at the library with a special school holiday event presented by Taurean Roe Cultural Education. Children will embark on an engaging cultural journey, discovering the significance of storytelling through art and music. They’ll create their own artworks using traditional ochre paint, inspired by Aboriginal art symbols provided during the session. The experience concludes with Taurean bringing the children's creations to life through music, playing the yidaki.
