Every year the Gladstone Region celebrates Seniors Week to recognise the invaluable contribution seniors make to our community. This year’s Seniors Week will be the first held virtually in its 60-year history, as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 health emergency.
Despite this, Gladstone Regional Council is ensuring the contributions our seniors make to the community – whether as volunteers or in the workforce, community leaders or carers, grandparents, or advocates – is valued and recognised with a free $10 Seniors Week gift voucher is available for all Gladstone Region residents aged 55 years+ to purchase morning tea*. T&Cs apply.
An Unlikely Conversation is a FREE online event that brings together our older and younger generations from different backgrounds to enjoy coffee and cake, while being guided by a menu of conversation

Seniors throughout the Gladstone Region are invited to join the Mayor for a virtual morning tea to celebrate Seniors Week. The simultaneous live stream offers live music, poetry reading, gardening tips and more, plus a special message from the Mayor.

Gift vouchers can be collected from Gladstone Regional Council Rural Transaction Centres, Customer Service Centres and the Community Engagement Centre from Monday, 3 August.
When: Valid for redemption from Friday, 14 August 2020 to Friday, 28 August 2020 (inclusive).
Location: Gift vouchers can be used at participating local cafes and restaurants across our region.
