Following feedback about cooler than usual water temperature in the 25m pool at Gladstone Aquatic Centre, Council has been closely monitoring this situation and assessments have identified a mechanical problem with the heater.
Unfortunately, attempts to rectify this issue have been unsuccessful with the 25m pool continuing to deliver water at 29 degrees.
While the 25m, indoor pool remains open, and is safe to use, Council is aware that this lower water temperature is less than desirable for many of our patrons and is not ideal for operations.
To restore comfort for all our users, Council is fast tracking replacement of the 25m pool heating system. - More information

Purchase of a new heater is underway, and preparations are occurring towards its installation, as soon as practicably possible.
Council appreciates the community’s understanding and patience while works to resolve this issue occur.
More details will be shared about anticipated installation dates of the heating system, once confirmed.
