Information and referral for community based services available to residents of Gladstone and its surrounding areas. Production and distribution of the Community Services Directory. All services available at the Community Engagement Centre are provided free of charge, are non-judgmental and confidentiality is assured. These services consist of:-
Community Development - provide support to individuals, families, community groups and agencies, and the broader community of the Gladstone region, by:
- Providing information, advice & referrals;
- Developing and distributing information sheets, booklets and other resources;
- Coordinating & developing community networks;
- Participating in external community forums;
- Undertaking community consultation and education;
- Providing advice on funding submissions;
- Developing programs/services/facilities to meet identified needs;
- Providing support to external projects;
- Undertaking collaborative awareness raising activities;
- Individual and agency advocacy;
- Delivering community education sessions/programs; and
- Delivering of community presentations;
Youth Services - age group 12-24 years. Develop, promote and coordinate youth initiatives; strengthen and capacity build with and for youth focused organisations. Coordinates and oversees the annual recruitment and management of the Gladstone Region Youth Council members whom are an advisory committee to Gladstone Regional Council.

Sport & Recreation - working with sporting clubs and organisations to build a thriving sport and recreation community encompassing quality facilities and activities run by skilled and capable people. Providing club management and planning support; assist groups in community liaison and support; facility development across the Gladstone Region, and strategic planning.

Online volunteer recruitment website that links volunteers with not for profit organisations. The easy-to-use site which can be accessed from Gladstone Region Volunteering Kiosks or any computer only contains volunteer opportunities available locally, and enables users to search for positions by area or type of role and then apply for positions online.
Neighbourhood Centre Meeting Room
Free venue for meetings, seminars and workshops for non-profit groups and organisations. Available 7 days/week. Children's playground on site.
Reconciliation Action Plan - developing strong foundations on which to build relationships to achieve a lasting and successful investment in reconciliation.
Community Investment

Tax Help Program
ATO trained volunteers assist low income earners complete simple tax returns between August and end October each year. Appointments are essential.
