Agnes Water Beach Visitor Carpark Work to construct an overflow carpark at 5 Agnes Street, Agnes Water, to provide an additional 49 car parking bays to one of the region’s most popular beaches.The project will provide safer and more convenient access to Main Beach, help to ease road congestion in the area, and better care for the surrounding environment.
Agnes Water Skate Park Revitalisation Funded under Round 1 of the Australian Government’s Growing Regions Program, the $1.94M Agnes Water Skate Park Revitalisation project is progressing and is in the detailed design and statutory government approval stage. The detailed design for the project is based on the concept design which was endorsed by Council and developed through extensive consultation with the community and stakeholders.
Air Sea Rescue Park Boardwalk Renewal This project aims to renew this popular asset to provide an improved, safe, aesthetic and environmentally friendly boardwalk access for the public.Works are included in Council’s 2025/26 Capital Works program and will be undertaken by Contractors.
Auckland St Water Main Renewal Works, as part of Council’s 2025/26 Capital Works program will be undertaken by a Contractor to renew the water mains which service Auckland Street, Gladstone (between Short St and Coon St).
Gladstone Aquatic Centre Works Following feedback about cooler than usual water temperature in the 25m pool at Gladstone Aquatic Centre, Council has been closely monitoring this situation and assessments have identified a mechanical problem with the heater. Temporary Closure : Gladstone Aquatic Centre’s 25m indoor pool will be closed on Monday 6 October for routine scheduled maintenance. Remainder of the facility, 50m pool and Splash Zone will remain open and operate as usual.
