Access and Inclusion
Access and Inclusion Action Plan
At its General Meeting on 18 June 2024, Council endorsed the Gladstone Regional Council Access and Inclusion Action Plan 2024-27,(PDF, 4MB) a series of action items that form a three-year roadmap towards our goal of improving accessibility and inclusivity.
It is an organisation-wide plan designed to benefit the community. We commit to making accessibility and inclusion a priority in everything we do.
Our vision is a thriving and inclusive community where diversity is celebrated, and all individuals have equal access to opportunities and resources. A region that fosters safety, belonging and prosperity for everyone.
Our community engagement process specifically targeted groups such as individuals with disabilities, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, seniors aged 65 and above, LGBTIQA+ individuals and First Nations people, ensuring their voices and perspectives were central in shaping the plan's objectives and initiatives.
