If you believe your pet has been impounded, check the Impounded Animals Register and/or the Council's Lost and Found page.

Proof of ownership is required before a receipt will be provided to collect your impounded animal. Identification from the owner may be requested if the animal is microchipped and/or registered with Council.

Animal Registration

Gladstone Regional Council's animal registration period is from 1 November to 31 October annually. Learn more about registering a cat or dog.

Requirements for Animal Owners

Advice outlining the number of animals allowed to be kept, conditions in which they are to be kept, and fencing requirements for specific species.

Feral Animals

Feral animals or invasive pest animals pose a major economic, environmental and social threat to the Gladstone region.

Problem Animals

Information to consider before lodging a complaint, and the process for reporting, matters relating to a domestic animal dog, cat, bird, roosters. For example, barking noise complaints and domestic animals roaming.

Straying Livestock

Wildlife

Living in the Gladstone Region involves understanding the native wildlife, knowing who to call for assistance for safe intervention, and where to source more information.
