Horses are welcome in many parts of the Gladstone Region. However, there are specific beaches, foreshores, and public areas where horse access is not permitted for safety and environmental reasons.

Horses are prohibited in the following areas:

  • Agnes Water Foreshore
  • Barney Point Foreshore
  • Tannum Sands Foreshore
  • Millennium Park Dog Prohibited Area, Tannum Sands (including foreshore)
  • Anzac Park, Gladstone
  • Tom Jeffrey Park, Agnes Water
  • Air Sea Rescue Park, Seventeen Seventy
  • Endeavour Park, Seventeen Seventy
  • Gladstone Tondoon Botanic Gardens 

Where can I ride a horse?

Horses may be ridden in any area not specifically listed as prohibited, provided that riders comply with:

  • All applicable laws and regulations
  •  Animal management requirements
  •  All onsite signage
