1. Kickstart your career with Council

Gladstone Regional Council is proud to facilitate the upskilling of our region.

There are a variety of opportunities available that will provide on-the-job training and support to develop employability skills, knowledge, and experience.

Our training opportunities consist of a mix of hands-on practical work, learning from experienced leaders, and classroom education in the vocational area to develop theoretical knowledge.

Our shortlisting process

Shortlisted applicants can expect to participate in aptitude testing, an interview and pre-employment checks, including a medical where required.

4. How to apply

Applications open at noon, Monday, 29 June 2026 and close at noon, Friday, 17 July 2026.

Successful candidates will commence with Council in January 2027.
