Critical infrastructure upgrade works on Curtis Island are scheduled to start from the end of January 2026.
Works will be carried out by Contractors at various designated locations across Curtis Island.

Upgrade of existing sewer infrastructure with construction of new flow meter chambers and modifications of existing air valve chambers will ensure long-term durability, improved access, and compliance with design standards.
Works will involve:
- Expose and construction of 10 new flow meter chambers.
- Saw-cut modification and height reduction of 31 existing sewer rising main air valve chambers.
- Fabrication and installation of customer-fit aluminium covers for flow meter and air valve chambers.
- Site remediation.
