Gladstone Regional Council is seeking three new members for the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Reference Group. EOI closed 12 April 2024 (midnight)
The RAP Reference Group is a volunteer group which provides Council with strategic advice on the views, needs and interests of First Nations Peoples in the Gladstone Region.
The Reference Group will inform and monitor Council’s RAP, and implement deliverables of the plan through collaboration, communication, and positive relationships.

Eligibility criteria
Applicants should be either:
- A First Nations resident of the Gladstone Region
- A First Nations representative chosen by a local service provider or organisation in the Gladstone Region.
Selection process
- Expressions of interest will be reviewed by RAP Reference Group members and Council’s RAP Champions
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited to meet with members of the RAP Reference Group and Council’s RAP Champions between Monday 15 April and Friday 26 April
- Shortlisted candidates will be selected at the Council General Meeting held on Tuesday 21 May
- Following the Council General Meeting, successful candidates will be notified of the application outcome
- Successful candidates will need to attend their first RAP Reference Group Meeting on 19 June 2024.

- This is Council’s third RAP and second ‘Innovate’ RAP.
- This Innovate RAP outlines the actions Council will undertake over the next two years (June 2023 to June 2025) to support lasting and meaningful relationships, encourage respect and promote opportunities for First Nations peoples in our region.
