Agnes Water Triathlon & Aquathon

The event is an annual not-for-profit local sporting event held in the beautiful town of Agnes Water.

Junior Aquathlon

The Junior Aquathlon is all about fun, participation, and giving young athletes a chance to experience the thrill of race day.

We're grateful to TerryWhite Chemmart Agnes Water for supporting our future triathletes as the major sponsor of the Junior Aquathlon.

The Agnes Water Pharmacy Aquathlon for kids under 14 takes place on the afternoon of Saturday, 3 October 2026.

If you've got a young swimmer or runner keen to get involved, now's the time to sign them up!

• DISTANCE - UNDER 7: 200m run / 80m wade / 200m run
• DISTANCE - UNDER 10: 250m run / 100m wade / 250m run
• DISTANCE - UNDER 14: 1km run / 200m swim / 1km run.

The whole family is catered for with the Aquathlon. Lifeguards will provide water safety.

The Aquathlon is focused on participation and fun, rather than competition.

Through events like this, we want to encourage kids to be involved in water sports, thereby improving their safety skills and leading a healthy, active lifestyle.

Triathlon

Agnes Water Bendigo Community Bank Sprint distance and JMT Agnes Water Enticer distance Triathlon events for solo competitors and teams take place on Sunday morning, 4 October 2026.

• Bendigo Bank SPRINT TRI DISTANCE: 750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run
• JMT Agnes Water ENTICER TRI DISTANCE: 375m swim, 10km cycle, 2.5km run

Race distances are as noted above, and you can enter as either a solo competitor or as a team of two or three.

The Agnes Water Triathlon was first staged in 2003, under the direction of local Marg Darcy.

The race has since become a popular event on the race calendar, attracting triathletes from throughout Central Queensland, Wide Bay and beyond.
