Council’s Gladstone Region Cemetery Plan 2022 guides Council’s delivery of cemetery services across the region to ensure that our cemeteries are appropriately planned, built, used and maintained for the long term.

The plan is used to develop guiding principles to enable Council to:

  • Meet the needs of the community,
  • Offer services which are affordable to all,
  • Ensure there is sufficient capacity to meet future demand in a way that is efficient and financially sustainable for both the community and Council.

Work to develop two sections within the Port Curtis Lawn Cemetery grounds has been undertaken. Works will now occur on drainage modifications as there is no stormwater drainage on-site.
