Major repair work to start on Weeroona Road Bridge

Extensive restoration work will start on Weeroona Road Bridge at Burua from May 27 after potential safety risks forced its closure in March 2012. Council will replace damaged decking with pre-cast concrete box culverts and an asphalt wearing surface.

MAY 23: Work is progressing on Council's new single land-use planning scheme for the region with two community sessions planned in May. As part of the development of the amalgamated planning scheme, Council is hosting a Community Visioning Session for the township of Agnes Water/Seventeen Seventy.

MAY 22: Council's CouncillorConnect visits continue on Thursday, May 30 with elected representatives visiting various locations throughout the region. Meetings have been scheduled at the Tanyalla Recreation and Conference Centre at Tannum Sands, Yarwun Hall, Turkey Beach Rural Fire Brigade and Lowmead Hall.
