Let’s get together to embrace our shared stories, community spirit, and the people who make Gladstone a great place to live at the Australia Day Family Fun Day.
Enjoy a relaxed morning by the water at the beautiful Millennium Esplanade, with live music from talented local performers and plenty of fun, free activities for all ages.
This year’s Australia Day Family Fun Day will be packed with activities for all ages, live entertainment, and a great Aussie atmosphere.
The morning will include classic Aussie games and activities, including:
- Tug of War
- Sack Races
- Egg & Spoon Races
- Lamington Eating Competition
- Footy Throw
- Dunny Roll Toss
- 3-Legged Race Kids Craft.
There’ll also be free face painting and a free sausage sizzle for the first 1,000 people, with additional food vendors on-site.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett will announce the Celebrate Australia Primary School Art Awards, recognising the creativity and talent of our local young artists.
Join us at the beautiful Millennium Esplanade on Monday, 26 January, to reflect on what it means to be Australian. It’s a recognition of our spirit, our stories, and our shared sense of community.
Come along and meet Sunny, the Gladstone Region Council Youth Council sun smart mascot! Don’t forget your hat, sunscreen, and best sun-safe gear; it’s going to be a relaxed, feel-good day by the beach.
Bring your friends and family and make a day of it. It’s the perfect way to enjoy our beautiful region and the country we are proud to call home.
