Wastewater pump station maintenance 

Gladstone Regional Council would like to advise that night works will occur nearby to undertake routine maintenance on critical infrastructure which is part of the local wastewater network in South Gladstone.

Works are planned to commence at the Sewer Pump Station located off QAL Access Road, South Gladstone, from 8pm, Tuesday 15th September until 8am, Wednesday 16th September 2026.

Works will involve:

  • Hand/battery-operated tools intermittently
  • High Pressure Water cleaning
  • Diesel Equipment - Vacuum Truck stationary and mobile operation.

Late Works

Council has approved an exemption to carry out necessary vacuum truck works outside normal construction hours to ensure no impact to customers wastewater service.

This work will be conducted in accordance with the Environmental Protection Act 1994 noise guidelines.

To allow safe and efficient access for the vacuum truck and other equipment, residents are requested to keep neighbourhood roads clear of vehicles or other obstructions, prior to, and during the works.

Activities may generate some noise during the night. All measures will be taken to minimise disruption to residents in the surrounding area.

We appreciate your understanding while these essential maintenance works are carried out to enable continued safe and reliable operation of the wastewater network.
