Revitalised Agnes Water Skate Park officially opens

The highly anticipated Agnes Water Skate Park Revitalisation Project has marked its official opening with a commencement celebration held on Monday 21 September.
Upgrades include new lighting, landscaping and shelters that provide seating close to the action, while a two-metre-wide footpath was constructed as a separate project, connecting Donohue Drive and Agnes Water State School with Springs Road.
The $1.94 million Agnes Water Skate Park Revitalisation project was jointly funded by $971,850 from the Albanese Government’s Growing Regions Program and $971,850 from Gladstone Regional Council.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett was joined by Gladstone Region Councillors, Council employees, skating enthusiasts, community members and representatives from contractor Convic for the official opening.

Works on the revitalised skate park, located on Springs Road, began in February 2026.
