Boil Water Notice in place for Bororen

Residents and visitors to Bororen are advised that a Boil Water Alert is in place following an unplanned water outage.

People should use cooled boiled water or bottled water for:

  • Drinking
  • Brushing teeth
  • Preparing and cooking foods
  • Washing raw foods such as fruit and vegetables
  • Drinks and making ice
  • Making baby formula
  • Bathing babies

Unboiled drinking water can be used for:

  • Showering and bathing other than babies and small children (avoid getting water in the mouth)
  • Washing dishes by hand or in a dishwasher
  • Washing clothes
  • Flushing toilets

Bottled water is available at the Bororen Hotel for affected residents.

Council employees will also deliver bottled water to individual households both today and tomorrow.
