It’s National Recycling Week, and Gladstone is invited to “Join the Cycle”.

Join us in reducing waste – learn more about what you can recycle in your community.

Small actions lead to big changes. Share your recycling efforts this National Recycling Week and inspire others to do the same. #letsrecycleright

Take the 7-Day National Recycling Week Challenge

Challenge your community, workplace, or school to participate in a week-long recycling sprint. Share on socials with #letsrecycleright

Day 1 - Audit your waste

Take stock of your household or office waste. Identify items that can be recycled but currently aren’t.

Day 2 - Set up a recycling station

Designate a spot in your home, office, or school as your "Recycling Station." Make sure it’s easy to access and properly labeled. Use our printable images for your labels.

Day 3 - Plastic-free day

Go plastic-free for the entire day. Avoid single-use plastics and find recyclable or reusable alternatives. Share your plastic-free ideas on socials using #letsrecycleright

Day 4 - e-Waste awareness

Gather any old electronics you have lying around (batteries, phones, chargers) and find the right e-waste recycling centre. Use Recycle Mate to locate recycling centres near you.

Day 5 - Focus on food

Get creative with leftovers! Instead of throwing something away, find a way to repurpose it. Share your creative ideas with others! Take the Love Food Hate Waste Challenge

Day 6 - Engage

Visit any one of our participating GRC facilities and try a Waste activity.

Day 7 - Reflect and share

Review your progress over the week. How much waste did you divert? What changes will you keep up? Post your results and inspire others by tagging #letsrecycleright
