Site Investigation and Detailed Design phase commenced on 9 January 2025.

Construction started early February 2026 and is planned to continue until about July 2026.

Once complete, Agnes Water will have a fit-for-purpose skate facility that is safe, modern, and suits a range of skill levels for skateboards, BMX, and scooters.

What's been happening?

Final stages of works remain, including statutory and compliance sign off, finalising safety related items, completing carpark and shelter work, turf establishment, and completing documentation and handover requirements.
The area remains a construction site and is closed until completion.
The skate park may seem finished however it's not ready for public use and will not be open until after the school holidays.
Community safety comes first, and Council will only open the facility when safe.
We're working to open the skate park as soon as we can but need the community to work with us.
Trespassing on site is causing damage, including skate park vandalism, damaged turf and littering such as discarded cigarette butts.
Please be patient while works are completed so we can then open the revitalised facility for everyone to enjoy.

What to expect

Works will occur Monday to Saturday, 6am-6pm with general construction activity expected at the site.
The existing skate park, including playground and amenities, is closed for the duration of the works.
A pedestrian detour is in place on the footpath linking the park to Agnes Water State School.
Temporary fencing and screening is in place.
Please follow signs and directions if in the area.
