Bless yourself with tickets to Sister Act the Musical
Published on 20 October 2026
Tickets are on sale for the 2027 Community Musical Sister Act which is taking to the stage at Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre (GECC) in March with four evening performances and two Sunday matinees.
Based on the 1992 musical crime comedy film Sister Act, starring Whoopi Goldberg and Maggie Smith, Sister Act the Musical follows disco diva Deloris Van Cartier, who is placed in protective custody in the one place the mob won’t find her – a convent!
Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover.
Gladstone Region Deputy Mayor Natalia Muszkat said Sister Act the Musical will be filled with powerful gospel music, outrageous dancing and a truly moving story.
“This feel-good musical comedy will have you singing, laughing and dancing in your seat,” Cr Muszkat said.
“The Creative Team tasked with delivering the 2027 Community Musical has some familiar names ready to help the cast deliver divine performances.
“Several members of the Creative Team who helped deliver the 2026 Combined Schools Musical, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins, will return for Sister Act the Musical including Hannah Waddell, Shannon Whitby and Annie Hooper, while Judith Hodge will also return after her involvement in last year’s Mamma Mia! The Musical.”
