Council offices (including Gladstone Region Pound) will be closed over the Easter weekend. Benaraby Landfill and our Transfer Stations will remain open. Bin collection will take place as normal on Good Friday and Easter Monday.
Council would like to advise stakeholders that the Matthew Flinders (Marina) Bridge on Bryan Jordan Drive will be closed to vehicular and marine traffic on Friday, 3 April 2026, from 6.45am. Reopening from 11am.

Children in the Gladstone Region have an opportunity to pen a letter to Santa and receive a personal reply from the jolly man in red.
Write your letter to Santa and post it in the special mailbox, located at any of the seven Gladstone Regional Libraries from Monday, 17 November 2025. Santa requires the letters posted by Saturday, 6 December, to ensure your reply arrives in time for Christmas.
Gladstone Regional Libraries will have a stall at this year's Mayor's Carols to get those last-minute letters in!
