Council would like to advise stakeholders that the Matthew Flinders (Marina) Bridge on Bryan Jordan Drive will be closed to vehicular and marine traffic on Friday, 3 April 2026, from 6.45am. Reopening from 11am.
Council offices (including Gladstone Region Pound) will be closed over the Easter weekend. Benaraby Landfill and our Transfer Stations will remain open. Bin collection will take place as normal on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

Gladstone Regional Council advises Gladstone Aquatic Centre’s 25-metre indoor pool will be temporarily closed from Sunday 26 October to allow for necessary maintenance works.
At this stage, Council is unable to confirm how long the pool will remain closed but is committed to reopening it as soon as possible for the community to enjoy once again.
The Splash Zone and 50-metre outdoor pool will remain open during this time.
Council appreciates the community’s understanding and patience while these works are carried out to ensure the facility remains safe, functional and enjoyable for all users.
