We are receiving reports of scam callers posing as Council employees and asking residents to provide personal information over the phone (credit card details, age, relationship status, mortgage status, income details).
- Don’t give money or personal information to anyone if unsure. You can always end the call and call our Customer Solutions team to verify.
- Ask yourself could the message or call be fake? Never click a link in a message.
- Act quickly if something feels wrong. Contact your bank if you notice unusual activity.
- Please be vigilant and hang up immediately and report it to Scam Watch.
