Small changes. Big Impact.
Hands-on ideas for a healthier region
Central Queensland’s favourite sustainable living festival, Ecofest, returns this June for a fun, inspiring day focused on practical actions that make a real difference.
Ecofest is Gladstone Regional Council’s annual community sustainability event, proudly delivered since 2019. The festival brings together local organisations, businesses and community groups to share simple, achievable ways we can all live more sustainably.
Enjoy a vibrant program of interactive displays, hands-on workshops, market stalls, live music, delicious food and family-friendly activities. Ecofest is designed to inform, inspire and empower the community to take positive steps towards greener living.
In 2026, Ecofest aligns with World Environment Day and the theme #ClimateAction, highlighting how working together and rethinking everyday choices can create lasting change for our region and our planet.
Small changes make a big impact.
Reduce, reuse, recycle and inspire others to do the same.
Please remember to bring your own water bottles, reusable coffee cups and shopping bags.
Walking the talk
Ecofest is committed to being a low-impact event. Every business, group and individual involved has committed to sustainable practices. The event is a reusable, biodegradable or compostable products event, with no single-use plastics allowed.
Request for services
Gladstone Regional Council (GRC) is calling on market stalls and businesses to be involved in the upcoming Ecofest event.
