Gladstone Regional Council advises residents that the next period of half-yearly water meter readings will commence on Tuesday, 16 June, and are expected to be completed by Friday, 10 July 2026.
Council employees conducting readings will be dressed in GRC-branded clothing and will carry an authorised officer card featuring photographic identification.
Residents are asked to keep water meters accessible and clear of building materials, soil, vehicles, or other objects.
Council also reminds residents to keep unrestrained dogs controlled and gates closed.
Water consumption for this half-year period will be billed in the annual rates and charges notice to be issued in August 2026.

Note: Council is continuing to upgrade existing water meter infrastructure to Advanced Water Meters, as part of a compulsory whole-of-region project. The next stage is planned to commence in August 2026 and continue until March 2027.
