Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) advises a hazard reduction burn will take place from Tuesday, 25 November, until Saturday, 29 November on lots adjoining Landing and Fisherman’s Road, Yarwun, pending favourable weather conditions.
Burn Details
- Size: 3 Lots – map below
- Timings: Burning commenced at approximately Tuesday afternoon. Crews will remain on-site until the area is deemed safe and will continue to patrol the site as required.
Traffic/Local Access Restrictions or Delays
- Smoke hazard signage has been placed on Reid Road and Hanson Road.
Smoke Impacts:
- Smoke may be visible in the Yarwun and WICET areas.
- A smoke haze is expected to persist for several days following the burn.
Notifications have been provided to adjoining landowners, surrounding businesses via email.
Smoke hazard signage will be placed on Hanson, Landing, and Fisherman’s Road, and monitoring will continue throughout the evening and into the following days and a dozer is on-site and ready if required.
