Council would like to advise stakeholders that the Matthew Flinders (Marina) Bridge on Bryan Jordan Drive will be closed to vehicular and marine traffic on Friday, 3 April 2026, from 6.45am. Reopening from 11am.

Public Holiday Closure - Easter

Council offices (including Gladstone Region Pound) will be closed over the Easter weekend. Benaraby Landfill and our Transfer Stations will remain open. Bin collection will take place as normal on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

Gladstone Regional Council Pound Facility

Impound Releases are by APPOINTMENT ONLY.
Please phone Council on (07) 4970 0700 to make an appointment.
Registrations are to be completed online via GRC payment website PRIOR to contacting Council to make an Impound Release Appointment.
Impound and Sustenance fees will be payable over the phone, using Online Services ONLY.
If the animal is not microchipped, Council will arrange an appointment with the animal owner when GRC reopens to conduct the microchipping – the cost of the microchip will be paid at the time of release as it is included in the Pound Release Fees.
Only one person per appointment is allowed in the Pound.
Please bring your own restraints (leashes or cages/carriers) when collecting your animal.
