Celebrate the great outdoors during Parks Week

Summer days are coming to an end but there are plenty of reasons to keep enjoying the outdoors with Parks Week activities just around the corner.
From Friday 27 February to Sunday 8 March, Council will host a range of free activities to celebrate the region’s beautiful parks and open recreational spaces.
Parks Week kicks off with Moonlight Movies at Calliope’s Bunting Park on 27 February with a screening of Shark Tale at 7pm - NOTE: Moonlight Movies at Bunting Park Calliope scheduled for this Friday 27 February has been postponed due to the forecast of wet weather. The event will be rescheduled.
Alf Larson Park at Miriam Vale will host another Moonlight Movies the following Friday (6 March) when The Lorax screens at 7pm.
Keen to start your weekend off on the right foot? Then give Solara Pilates in the Park a go on Saturday 28 February from 8am at Millennium Esplanade, Tannum Sands - NOTE: This event has been moved to 8am Sunday 8 March (same location).
Limber up your body and your mind with each attendee receiving a free small coffee from Deja Brew after the session.

Staying at Millennium Esplanade, Prams and Picnics will be held on Wednesday 4 March from 8-9.30am, offering parents a chance to mingle and meet other parents.
Attendees will receive a free small coffee from Deja Brew and Gladstone Gymnastics will also be there with soft play equipment.
Two yoga sessions will wrap up the week – Vinyasa Yoga in Park with The Rituwell Club at 8am on Saturday 7 March at Millennium Esplanade and Yoga in the Park at 8am on Sunday 8 March at Air Sea Rescue Park, Seventeen Seventy.
