UnitingCare’s Discovery Coast Community Support Program is a unique service that truly takes the time to understand what the Discovery Coast community needs and how we can best reach those who are at risk of falling through the gaps.

The program assists the community by:

  • Linking community members with internal and external providers to meet their personal needs.
  • Supports the community in creating social connections and inclusion through events, programs and initiatives.
  • Empowers, supports and integrates community action by working alongside community groups, organisations and people to meet their goals.

From the centre, we also run the Discovery Coast Emergency Relief Service, allowing us to assist people doing it tough with emergency relief, such as fuel vouchers, food hampers, and other items on a case-by-case basis.

Our outreach team also goes out to a different community within the Discovery Coast every Tuesday.
