Council would like to advise stakeholders that the Matthew Flinders (Marina) Bridge on Bryan Jordan Drive will be undergoing essential operational maintenance, repairs, and testing on Tuesday, 19 May 2026.The bridge will be closed to all vehicular and marine vessel traffic for the duration of the works.
Environmentally Relevant Activities (ERAs) are activities that will or have the potential to release contaminants into the environment that may cause environmental harm. It is a requirement of the Environmental Protection Act 1994 (EP Act) and the Environmental Protection Regulation 2019 (EP Regs) that anyone who conducts an ERA must possess an environmental authority.

ERAs not devolved to local government, listed in Schedule 2 of the Environmental Protection Regulation 2019, must be notified to the Department of Environment and Science (DES) within the state government. In Schedule 3 of the Environmental Protection Act 1994, certain activities are defined as notifiable activities. If the owner or occupier of land becomes aware that a notifiable activity is being carried out on the land, the owner or occupier must give notice to the Department of Environment and Science (DES) in the approved form below.
