The new 240L green-lidded bins are being delivered to eligible households, ahead of the new fortnightly kerbside collection service commencing from 30 June.
Queensland Museum provides kits for loan to educational institutions and home-school families. Six or seven kits are allocated to Gladstone Regional Libraries from January to November each year. The kits can be borrowed from our branch libraries for two-week loan periods. You can nominate the branch library or Out & About van where you would like to collect and return the kit. The Precinct Library cannot be used to collect or return Museum Kits because it is a self-loans-only branch.
Bookings are essential and can be made ahead of time throughout the year. Enquiries and bookings can be made at any staffed branch of Gladstone Regional Libraries. Online bookings are not available.
Each Museum Kit contains curriculum links relevant to the topic.
Information about the Queensland Museum Loans program is available here. The full contents of each kit can be viewed by searching in the Queensland Museum catalogue or clicking on the kits held at Gladstone link below.
Loans of Queensland Museum Kits are free!
