Summer Beach Day

Grab your sunnies and beach towel — it’s time for a day of sun, sand, and smiles! 

Join us for a fun-filled Beach Day featuring games with the Gladstone Region Youth Council, great DJ tunes, and chill summer vibes. 

Enjoy low-cost snacks, including a sausage sizzle and slushies, take part in a friendly game of beach volleyball, or simply relax and soak up the sunshine with friends. 

It’s the perfect way to celebrate the summer holidays!

For ages 10-17 yrs. Bookings not required. 

ENTERTAINMENT

Entertainment:

  • Tyson Phillips. Tyson is a Youth representative on the Phillip Street advisory committee. Will be DJing from 11am-2pm.

Gladstone Youth Council:

  • Photo opportunities with Sunny - Cancer Council with Sun safety message.

Connected Youth Café:

  • Australian Drug Foundation - Drunk Goggles exercise
  • PCYC- Obstacle Course
  • Scavenger Hunt

The Connected Youth Cafe provides a welcoming, energising spot just for youth where they can engage in real talks with local service providers and wellbeing experts, participate in fun engaging activities and enjoy chill cafe vibes with a FREE sausage sizzle! Whether you're looking for support, inspiration, or just something fun to do-Connected Youth Café is where community and conversation come together.

  • Kandy Couture Dippin Dots and Slushies Van will operate on site

Parking is available in carparks around the event site.

FAQs

Animals:
Dogs are permitted at Tannum Sands Millenium Esplanade, but they must be kept on a leash. 

Facility Restrictions: Some areas within the esplanade, particularly certain picnic facilities or gas BBQs, might have signs indicating dogs are not permitted in those exact spots

Accessibility:
Actively welcomes people with access needs, Millenium Esplanade caters for people with access needs including wheelchairs.  

Can I bring a picnic rug?
Yes. Picnic rugs/blankets are permitted at the event.

Can I bring fold up chairs?
Yes. Fold up chairs are permitted at the event.

Do you have First Aid facilities?
Yes. First Aid will be located at the event.

Glass:
Glass is prohibited in all areas of our parklands.

Where can I go to collect lost property?
Please see staff at the info marquee for all lost property. Lost property will be retained at the GECC for 48hrs after the event.

Can I smoke at the event?
Yes. Smoking is permitted in public parks, however not permitted in proximity to food vendors, activities, stalls and stage viewing area. Please move away from crowds if you wish to smoke.
