Description of works

Works are planned at the sewer pump station in Monterey Way, Calliope from 9 January to 30 March 2026. 

Assessments have determined that upgrade of the current chemical dosing unit on site will improve corrosion control and reduce sewer odour.

More information

Civil and electrical works will be required to replace the existing temporary unit and install a permanent chemical dosing unit.  

This project aims to provide improved infrastructure, reducing the need for on-going maintenance while reducing the risk of unplanned sewer disruptions for residents. 

These works are included in Council’s Capital Works program.

  • From about 9 January 2026 until about 30 March 2026 site conditions and weather permitting.
What to expect
  • Works Monday to Friday, 7am-4.30pm, weather permitting.  
  • Machinery operating.
  • General construction activities.
  • Traffic and pedestrian management at times.
  • No interruption to sewer services is expected. 
  • Please follow signs and directions and be mindful of works and equipment movement in the area.
