To comply with the Guide to Speed Management, Council will remove the existing 30 km/h shared zone along Wild Cattle Creek Road (CH 0–600) and implement a 40 km/h regulatory speed limit for this section.
The speed limit change was endorsed at the Speed Management Committee (SMC) meeting held on 6 November 2025.
The SMC includes representatives from Queensland Police Service, Department of Transport and Main Roads, and Gladstone Regional Council.
Council will be installing the new speed limit signs in mid-July 2026.
