EDQ - Planned Burn Notice - Aldoga Road, Aldoga

Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) advises that a burn of stockpiled timber will take place from Monday, 20 July, until Sunday, 26 July 2026, on lots along Aldoga Road, Aldoga, pending favourable weather conditions.

Burn Details

  • Size: 3 Lots – map below
  • Location: Lots 50 & 51 SP293528 and Lot 9 SP353091

Burn Information

  • Burning will commence once suitable weather conditions have been confirmed.
  • Crews will remain on site throughout the operation and until the area is deemed safe.
  • Monitoring and patrols will continue as required following the burn.
  • Fire management equipment, including a dozer, will be available on site if required.
  • The material to be burnt comprises stockpiled vegetation and timber generated during recent clearing activities on the above lots.

Traffic and Access

  • Smoke hazard signage will be installed on roads surrounding the burn area prior to commencement.
  • Local traffic access is not expected to be significantly impacted; however, motorists are advised to exercise caution if smoke is present.

Smoke Impacts

  • Smoke may be visible in the surrounding Aldoga, Yarwun, and industrial areas.
  • Smoke impacts may vary depending on prevailing weather and wind conditions.
  • A light smoke haze may persist for several days following the burn.

Notifications have been provided to adjoining landowners and relevant stakeholders. Monitoring will continue throughout the burn period and in the days following to ensure community safety and minimise impacts.
