Free storm-related green waste disposal available for limited time

Gladstone Regional Council is opening a five-day window for domestic customers to drop off domestic, storm-related green waste for free at select waste facilities following recent storms.

Agnes Water Transfer Station, Benaraby Landfill and Gladstone Transfer Station will accept uncontaminated domestic green waste from Thursday, 27 November until close of business Monday, 1 December.

Eligible uncontaminated green waste includes:

  • Leaves
  • Small branches 
  • Palm fronds
  • Garden trimmings.
Participating Waste Facilities opening hours

Agnes Water Transfer Station (233 Captain Cook Drive) | 8am-12pm, Monday to Friday | 1pm-4pm, Saturday and Sunday

Benaraby Landfill (48567 Bruce Highway) | 7.30am to 5pm, Monday to Sunday

Gladstone Transfer Station (Joe Joseph Drive) | 7.30am to 5pm, Monday to Sunday.

Any green waste brought to the transfer stations will be mulched and made available free to residents, subject to supply.
